• Use plastic or rubber supports between the ground and joists to keep them off the ground.
• Joists should support the tiles at a minimum of 9 points and be positioned in the centre.
• For 50x50cm tiles, use 3 joists for optimal support.
• Leave a 5mm gap between tiles.
• Never place tiles directly on the ground.

Installation on Soft Surfaces

1. Remove weeds, level the surface, and lay an anti-weed membrane.
2. Place paving stones on top of the membrane for a stable base.
3. Position the hardwood joists on the stones; they now sit off the ground.
4. Mount the deck tiles onto the joists, leaving a 5mm gap between tiles.
5. For 50x50cm tiles, use 3 joists for optimal support.
